What is SponsoredTesting?
A neutral directory and education resource for biopharma-funded diagnostic programs that require clinician-attested medical eligibility. We do not provide medical care or handle PHI.
Who uses SponsoredTesting?
SponsoredTesting is used by:
- Healthcare providers looking for sponsor-supported testing options
- Patients/caregivers seeking program information to discuss with their clinician
- Biopharma companies operating access/evidence-generation programs
- Diagnostic laboratories participating in those programs
How do providers find supported tests?
Providers search by condition, biomarker, test name, or program name. Results show program pages with participating labs and standard ordering instructions published by the program.
Do providers need an account to use SponsoredTesting?
No. Discovery is open and frictionless. Ordering occurs through the program’s normal lab workflow.
Do SponsoredTesting programs work with one or multiple labs?
Either. Program pages disclose participating labs and any geography or site requirements set by the sponsor/lab network.
Is SponsoredTesting integrated with EHR or ordering systems?
By default, SponsoredTesting is an informational directory—ordering happens on participating labs’ existing portals or via paper test requisition forms, and we don’t handle PHI.
If a program opts in to Casandra.ai digital ordering, we can enable EHR/API ordering for the program’s participating lab(s) using their standard workflows. In that case, PHI is processed by Casandra.ai as the lab’s HIPAA Business Associate and sent directly to the lab; SponsoredTesting remains uninvolved in PHI.
How are providers connected to the correct lab?
Providers select from the program-listed participating labs and follow the standard ordering path published by the program. We don’t route orders or rank labs based on clinical or commercial considerations. Featured Program placements may appear more prominently in search/category results as paid, time-based ads, but they do not affect which labs are shown, the order workflow, or how orders are submitted. We never charge per test or per order.
What analytics are available to sponsors?
De-identified, aggregate page metrics (e.g., views, outbound clicks). No PHI/PII, no physician-level targeting, and minimum-cell suppression apply.
Can SponsoredTesting support clinical trials or RWE?
We can publish unbranded educational pages that link to the sponsor’s public trial listings or contact points. We do not recruit patients or collect health data.
Is SponsoredTesting secure and compliant?
Yes. Listings must: (1) specify clinician-attested eligibility; (2) use commercial CLIA/CAP tests; (3) involve no patient/payer billing for sponsored services; (4) limit counseling to test/result education; and (5) provide only aggregate, de-identified analytics. Our fees are fixed and time-based, not volume-linked.
Additionally, the platform was built for healthcare and includes appropriate privacy, compliance, and security safeguards.
How does privacy work for ordering?
SponsoredTesting.com is a neutral directory and does not collect, store, or transmit PHI. Ordering occurs on participating labs’ systems. If a program enables Casandra.ai digital ordering, PHI is processed by Casandra as a HIPAA Business Associate to the lab and sent directly to the lab.
How often are programs updated?
Program availability and information can be updated on an ongoing basis to keep listings accurate and relevant.
